While I am thrilled to have passed my clinical licensing exam, I am not able to thank my preparation with the LEAP study guide for that. The clinical exam consisted of 170 questions strictly in the area of clinical practice. The LEAP guide led me to believe the exam would be divided by sections, similar to the LMSW exam, and showed the percentage of the exam that would consist of questions in each particular subject area. I used the guide and practice questions in order to commit a great deal of the information to memory. When I took the exam I experienced a bit of frustration that the hours and weeks I had spent memorizing information and reacquainting myself with forgotten names, dates and theories was for naught. This guide would have been appropriate for the masters level exam but not for the clinical exam. Fortunately I passed the exam and am able to do the work I love and consider myself to be good at.
