I am not one to write testimonials but felt I WANTED to and HAD to after my wonderful experience using LEAP! I first took the LICW exam appx. 2 years ago. Honestly, I did not study too much at all. I didn’t do too badly but I did not pass. The 2nd time I tested, I studied using the D. Apgar Clinical Exam Guide and those acronyms that everyone was using which I feel were absolutely detrimental…to me, anyway. Again, I did not pass. I missed it by 8 points. I knew if I was going to take the exam a 3rd time, I would have to study differently. As soon as I saw that LEAP offered a video series, I knew that was for me. I purposely purchased it (and got a 15% discount…thank you!) close to when I was scheduled to test as I wanted it available to me up to the day of the exam. I also purchased the ASWB practice exam (very helpful). I watched the three (2) hour videos once, although it’s suggested to watch them twice (WELL worth your time!). While I watched each one, I had a notebook by my side and paused the video whenever I felt I should take notes (which was quite often). This video series is EXACTLY what I needed. I’m a visual learner, and seeing and listening to Kym and Matt talk was so extremely helpful to me. Everyone needs to know what style of learning works for them, and this was IT for me! “Third time’s the charm” as the saying goes. I took the LICSW exam in MA on Tuesday, 10/5/21…and PASSED! Not only did I pass, but I got 120 answers right (I needed 102 to pass). Thank you, Kym, and thanks to everyone at LEAP! I’m 59 years old and it just goes to show…you’re never too old to accomplish what you put your mind to! Lastly, I want to say how unbelievably supportive and responsive Kym Tutell was to me. I had a slight issue with my video playing on Saturday, 10/9/21. I called the number for LEAP and a woman answered. She was so pleasant and so helpful. Turns out it was Kym! She had IT calls forwarded to her as it was a Saturday. I could NOT have had a better experience with LEAP! I HIGHLY recommend them!!!
